Tone Aston
Tone Aston is founder, Creative Director and Sound Designer at Rumble Sydney. A career in Sound Design has seen him become a master of the many arts in the post production studio, from voice direction, blockbuster sound design, foley and mixing.
He has a philosophy of creative experimentation, looking under all the stones to make sure the sound design and voice have all the right elements to make a great soundscape.
Since opening Rumble he has won local and international awards, including CLIO, LIA, Spikes and AWARD, and has worked with large and small clients around the world. Rumble has won “LIA Regional Studio of the Year” and “Global Studio of the Year” in 2021, “LIA Regional Studio of the Year” and “Shots Asia Audio Company of the Year APAC” five years in a row 2021 through 2025.

Duel imagines a world where the land itself rises up to protect a rural homestead from a spreading fire, triggering deep groans and cracks of shifting earth as the land fights back. It turns a simple patch of nature into a living, breathing hero fighting for survival.
On an isolated island, an unexpected love story unfolds, caught in the rhythm of routine and a restless ocean. The howling night winds to be calmed for a busy yet yearning romance, with just a hint of a nearly silent electric car.
Australia speaks with it’s own authentically, unmistakable sound. Local voices sit naturally within the rhythm of each environment grounding the stop-motion world in something unmistakably Australian. Every accent, pause and environmental detail reinforces the campaign's warmth and sincerity, making each story feel less like a performance and more like a moment captured from everyday life.
A notoriously boring process, getting a car insurance quote, is turned upside down in a wonderfully weird, psychedelic dream. The human voice acts as the lead instrument, chopping and gliding to create the entire groove and highlight just how effortless it feels when everything runs smoothly.
