These three spots presented a unique challenge; they all needed their own piece of music, but with thematic material that would tie them all together into a coherent whole.
For “Bills” and “Spend” a full orchestra highlights the mayhem of each spot. We open with solo violin before brass, strings and timpani all start piling up as the chaos and tension mounts. Both these spots also contain unique “compositions within compositions”; a spin-bike techno track in “Spend”, and a kid’s show theme song and superhero fanfare in “Bills”.
For “Save” we took our main themes from “Bills” and “Spend” and re-orchestrated them for flamenco guitar and percussion. As the spot progresses, our orchestral elements return, this time playing a supporting role while the guitar takes the lead.
All three spots finish with a laid-back track, releasing the tension of all those mounting bills.
