The idea of this composition was to transport us to a New Zealand dreamland in a unique way, without the expected twinkles. A playful flute motif set the tone while the string orchestration connected the surreal moments to the natural scenery. The scoring was approached as an undercurrent to the story, supporting the comedy and beauty, while never overpowering it. Recording the string section live was the final touch in capturing the nuances of a live performance and adding more depth to this beautiful composition.
