Yalumba is from the earth, and we wanted to feel the earth in the sound design.
Creating this feeling was a great exercise in experimenting with real sounds and abstract sounds.
Digging in real dirt for one scene, while using glass breaking for sound of rain in another scene.
All the while weaving around our beautifully simple music track, pulsing it’s way to a crescendo. The music has a width to it, that fills the listening with rising hope as our lead on screen lays the foundation for Yalumba’s future.
