Daniel Orbach

Daniel’s early years were shaped by training in multiple instruments and a family home immersed in Classical and Soul music. His first experiences with composition came in high school after discovering music production software, creating Hip-Hop instrumentals for friends to battle rap over.

During a formative period studying Media at the University of North Carolina Daniel’s work became imbued with influences spanning experimental, electronic and contemporary music, shaping his approach to atmosphere and texture.

Daniel’s music has since earned support from Gilles Peterson, Plastician and Jon Hopkins, alongside headline performances at the National Gallery of Victoria’s Friday Nights series.

Equally at home writing for advertising and contemporary media, Daniel’s diverse musical background brings a sensitivity to tone and emotion, creating thoughtful and adaptable scores that serve each project’s unique creative vision.
