In a world where watching sport from our smaller devices is becoming the norm, trying to deliver excitement to the punter through advertising can be difficult. Not for Kayo. Real sports stars, professional commentary and an eye for detail made this spot the perfect execution.
We love the chance to get the Rumble staff involved with recording foley and this Kayo spot was no exception. We had one of our producers running around in her football boots so we could record an authentic “Metal Stud” sound. As you can hear, it worked perfectly!
We also had a great time creating the sound of two NRL players throwing themselves through a glass bus shelter. The dynamics within this sound design give the spot the “punchy” element it needs. Having an actual NRL commentator in the booth, delivering the phone audio was the cherry on top
