What better way to score a tiny wind-up car than with a high energy Aussie punk-rock banger? Drawing inspiration from icons like Amyl and the Sniffers, The Chats and Dune Rats, this adrenaline-charged track was built to propel Ampy’s cross-country adventure; from suburban streets to river crossings, and a run-in with an echidna. Every element was deliberately left a little rough around the edges to honour the genre: unruly amp feedback, scrappy guitar takes, abrupt musical dropouts and more. Thoughtful choices of amp models, garage-style reverbs and era appropriate distortion pedals topped off with a ripping siren-esque lead guitar to seal the deal.
